Salvation

Ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, man has been tempted by the devil and this is still a better plan for mankind than if they would have never sinned in the first place.

If they would have never sinned and eaten from the tree of life, we would all live forever in human bodies. If they would have eaten from the tree of life after they sinned, we would have lived forever in sinful bodies kind of like we live now. But since they sinned and were banned from the garden, we must now accept the blood of Jesus as payment for our sins and so we will receive new bodies and live for eternity with our Father in heaven. That is a blessing we should all be yelling Glory Glory Hallelujah!

Your decision to Trust Christ as your personal saviour is the greatest decision you could ever make. However, many people after accepting Christ never realize the true significance of what took place.

How To Be Saved

Our sins have separated us from a righteous and holy God, but in His Mercy and love towards us He has made a way of escape for all those who seek it. I am talking to you, right here and right now. God has an AMAZING gift for you, it costs you nothing but it caused Him to shed every drop of blood He had so He could purchase it for you. What is it? It’s your salvation. Jesus Christ was crucified, died, was buried and rose again on the THIRD DAY according to the Scriptures. He did all that for YOU, to buy your pardon to SET YOU FREE. All you have to do is accept or reject that FREE GIFT.

You can know for sure you are going to Heaven when you die!

A – Admit You Are A Sinner
B – Believe That Jesus Christ Died For Your Sin & Rose From The Dead
C – Confess With Your Mouth That Jesus Christ Is The Son Of God

Salvation prayer

In the book of Acts the Eunuch seen water and asked what hinders him from being baptized and Philip said if thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. At this point, the Eunuch was saved and now could be baptized.

There are two spiritual families in the world.

The devil’s family

The book of John speaks of a group of people who belong to Satan’s family.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

All are sinners and have fallen short of the Glory of God. Through Adam we all have sinned and now need redemption from our Lord Jesus Christ. Upon birth we are ultimately all descendants of Adam and everyone will enter this family of your physical father.

Genesis 5:3 shows that the descendants of Adam are born in Adam’s image and likeness which is that of a fallen sinner.

You inherited your sin nature from your father Adam

The bible say by one man sin entered into the world. That man was Adam. People are quick to argue that it was the woman that sinned first and that the through her sin entered the world. I think we can take this a step further and say that God set up the man first and he was the head of the house. If Adam wouldn’t have sinned, he could have still procreated with Eve and there would still be life. However, it would have been a lot more complicated. Adam loved Eve so much, he wasn’t willing to risk losing her so he made the decision himself to commit that sin. Therefore, Adam finalized the sin and and at this point, sin is passed through earthly fathers. There was a reason Jesus was conceived through a virgin and not conceived by a man. The male would have passed the sin and Jesus would have just been a man and likely not sinless as he was.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 6:23 tells us there is a wage for sin.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is not a physical death, for even those that go to Heaven die physically. Therefore, it must be a spiritual death, being separated from the presence of God forever.

Since Adam and Eve did not die right when they sinned, they were now spiritually dead and could not stay in the garden. The death the bible is speaking of is not death as you and I know it, this death is eternal death in the lake of fire called hell. They went straight from having and eternal life to having an eternal death. This is why we need Jesus to justify us from our sins and regain that eternal life. But we now have to make that choice.

Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

This is exactly what happened to Adam when he sinned in the garden

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Adam did not immediately physically die after he ate from the tree. This was a spiritual death.

Genesis 3:6-7 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

The final result of Adam’s sin was man sent from the garden

Adam & Eve

This represents the spiritual death that Adam suffered. If they were allowed to stay in the garden and had eaten from the tree of life, they would have lived forever in their sinful bodies forever.

I Corinthians 15:22 tells us that “…in Adam all die…”
This is the spiritual death of Romans 6:23
From this point, all of mankind dies spiritually, the only way to regain spiritual eternal life is to accept Jesus’ blood as the payment for your sin.

God’s family

John 1:12-13 But as many as received him (that is your decision to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior), to them gave he power to become the sons of God (your entrance into God’s family), even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man (all three of these things are physical, so it is not a physical birth), but of God. (it is a spiritual birth)

To be spiritually born again, you must make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as you Lord and Saviour. This is the most important decision you will ever make.

You also enter God’s family by birth; but it is a spiritual birth by your Heavenly Father

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

This new birth puts you into God’s family exactly the same way your physical birth puts you into your father’s family. You are now a son of God by Birth.

A a result of your new birth, you have inherited God’s divine nature, and you now have eternal life.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
I John 5:12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

All verses are present tense.
Please make the decision now to accept Jesus Christ and eternal life.

Being in God’s family separates you from the devil’s family

Your body is now the temple of the Holy Ghost. God the Holy Spirit lives inside you.

I Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

You no longer belong to yourself, but to the Lord. The things which you use to do to your body should make you feel convicted of the Holy Spirit and encourage you to repent from sin.

II Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

You are now a part of the Trinity. You are walking with God inside of you and you now walk in the light. Paul write in 2 Corinthians; how can we fellowship and walk with unbelievers? We are no longer like them. The saying goes “You can’t walk with God and hold hands with the devil”.

As Christians, we can now see the darkness in people, for the human heart is wicked. When you are truly saved, God will touch your heart and replace it with a softer one.

By living a different way, the unsaved will see us a different way and they should look at us and say “I want what they have”. We should be changed when we are saved and setting an example for the unbelievers to follow.

Your new life summarized

II Corinthians 5:17-18
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

*You have become a new creature
We are now reconciled to God by Jesus Christ. We are now given the ministry of reconciliation to bring more people to Christ as we are now ambassadors for Christ. Jesus knew no sin, but was made to be the sin sacrificed for us that we would be made righteous. That is the gift Jesus has given us and all we have to to do is believe and accept that gift for eternal life.

Your relationship with God

He is your Heavenly Father and you are his child

Now that you are saved; God no longer deals with you as a sinner, He deals with you as a son.

That relationship is pictured by the relationship between a father and a son.

A good father loves and cares for his son

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

A good father protects his son

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

A good father provide for his son

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

A good father guides and teaches his son

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 – “Spirit of Truth”
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 17:17 – “Thy Word is Truth
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

A good father helps his son

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

A good father disciplines is son

Hebrews 12:5-11 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

A good father feeds his son

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

A good father has a plan for his son

Romans 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

A good father encourages his son

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Final Thoughts

A good father will never do anything to purposely hurt his son. He will only do those things which will help him grow and mature into a young man he wants him to be. Your Heavenly Father operates in the same way, only His ways are perfect. Unlike earthly fathers who sometimes err, God never makes a mistake in his dealings with his sons.

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

You do not lose your physical nature at the time of your spiritual birth

A. That is obvious because you are still alive!

B. You now have two natures.

1. Old nature – Physical, sinful, in Adams image.
Genesis 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

2. New nature – Spiritual, perfect, in God’s image.

C. Both natures are present constantly. The one that will control you is the one that you feed the most.

Colossians 3:5-10 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

II Corinthians 4:14-18 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Basic Questions

Will I sin after I am saved? Yes

I John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Even after you are saved, Jesus Christ is still you intercessor to the Father. Jesus died for all of your sins past, present and future. There is no one or nothing that can take that away.

How does my sin affect my relationship with my father?

God does not kick you out of His family, but He will discipline you as a child.

What should I do when I sin?

Confess it and trust the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse you. Confess your sin to Jesus, not another sinner here on earth. The only intercessor to the Father is Jesus Christ and no man can fill in for Him.

I John 1:6-10 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Confess your sins to Jesus and repent from those sins. God’s mercy awaits.
