Bible Doctrine – Survive The Wrath https://survivethewrath.com Surviving Great Tribulation Tue, 20 Sep 2022 16:47:06 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.5.2 171948553 Welcome to Survive the Wrath https://survivethewrath.com/welcome/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=welcome Tue, 20 Sep 2022 16:46:18 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=847 I started this website as a reference to bible doctrine and soon seen a world that is confused by Satan. Many that will be left behind during Great Tribulation and need a survival plan more than ever. As we see the signs and know we are in the season of the end, those that are saved by the Grace of God will meet Him in the clouds and those that have little faith or no belief in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture may experience the worst time the world has ever seen. In a moment, a twinkling of an eye, millions of true believers in Christ will disappear and a moment after, millions will perish and never meet the Lord in the air. As for the ones that are left behind, those are the ones that have another chance to get saved, but it will not be an easy choice due to great delusion. After all the new dispensation has started and many will blame God for the chaos.

This site is now being used to spread the Gospel as well as the information need for the ones left behind; in hopes they will see their option to be saved during Great Tribulation. They will be the ones that become the tribulation Saints and will be martyred for Christ, but sill end up in heaven with us. For those that don’t accept Christ during the tribulation, I hope they find this site useful for the hard time they will have during the tribulation and possibly survive long enough to accept Jesus before their ultimate demise.

The is only one true way to survive the wrath of God and that is to accept His Son Jesus Christ as your personal savior. This must be a heart belief.

What Is The Difference Between The Day Of Christ & The Day Of The Lord? https://survivethewrath.com/rapture-armageddon/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rapture-armageddon Sat, 28 Mar 2020 20:36:53 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=627 The day of Christ is the Pre-tribulation Rapture of the church and is to be looked forward to.
Rapture

The Day of the Lord is the Second Coming when Jesus sets foot on the Mount of Olives and is to be greatly feared.

The Lords Return

Most of the new age churches today tend to read the Bible from Matthew to Revelation and apply it all to the gentiles and don’t rightly divide their Bible. Not all of the New Testament was written to the Church, but only parts of it. Other parts of it were written to the Jews at the time it was written and to the Jews that will be living during the time of Jacob’s Trouble (Great Tribulation). And other parts of it are written to the unsaved gentiles that will go through the seven year tribulation.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If you study your Bible and rightly divide the Word of God, you will see that it is impossible for these two events to be the same.

The Pretribulation Rapture of Church is to be looked forward to as the ‘blessed hope’ in Titus 2:13. The Second Coming is a day to be greatly feared as described in Amos 5:18.

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

The Rapture of the Church is the “day of Christ” and will be a glorious day for the believers when Jesus Christ returns in the clouds to meet us in the air.

The Second Coming is called the “day of the Lord” and is to be greatly feared as it will be full of darkness.

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

The Rapture and Second coming cannot be the same if one is a blessed hope and the other is darkness.

The Rapture of the Church

Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
2 Thessalonians 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

The Second Coming

Amos 5:18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.
Isaiah 13:9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it

Jesus Christ comes for his church at the time of the Rapture and the Church comes back with Jesus Christ during His Second Coming.

At the Rapture, the Church is caught up and disappears from the face of the Earth. At the Second Coming, Jesus returns with His saints. This is another major flaw when the new age churches don’t rightly divide the Bible and try to say the two events are one and the same.

At the Rapture, the saints will be going up and at the Second Coming, the saints will be coming down. See the difference?

The Rapture of the Church

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Second Coming

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

The Church is taken up to Heaven at the Rapture. At the Second Coming, Jesus sets up his one thousand year rule on earth.

Through the writing of Paul and John, the Church is promised a Heavenly home. The Jews and the Tribulation saints are not given the same promise and are given an earthly Kingdom ruled by Jesus.

The Rapture of the Church

John 14:2-3 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The Second Coming

Revelation 20:4 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

The Rapture happens before the Antichrist rides the four horses and the beginning of Great Tribulation, while the Second Coming happens after both.

Horsemen

In a letter to the Thessalonians, Paul tells us (the Saints) we are not appointed to wrath and Matthew tells us that the Second Coming is after the tribulation of those days. So the Rapture and the Second Coming cannot be the same.

The Rapture of the Church

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The Second Coming

Matthew 24:29-30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

At the Rapture, only the Church will see the Lord coming for them. At the Second Coming, The whole world will see the return of the Lord.

The Lords Return

Paul calls the Rapture of the Church a mystery. The Holt Spirit used Paul to write the doctrine. At the Rapture, only the true believers who have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ will here His voice as a sound of a trumpet calling us up to meet Him in the air.
At His Second Coming, The whole world will see Jesus Christ returning for the judgement of the whole world.

The Rapture of the Church

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Second Coming

Revelation 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

At the Rapture, Jesus comes to gather His Church. At the Second Coming, angels do all the gathering for judgment.

In a moment, at the twinkling of an eye, Jesus will shout for us to come up, there are no angels involved. At the Second Coming, only angels are sent to gather God’s elect which are the Jewish remnant that made it through Great Tribulation.

The Rapture of the Church

1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The Second Coming

Mathew 24:30-31 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Following the Rapture is the Judgement Seat of Christ & following the Second Coming is the Judgement of Nations.

Gavel

Immediately after the Rapture of the Church, Paul says we will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Since we have accepted Jesus Christ as our saviour, our sin will not be judged. Jesus died on the cross of Calvary for our sins. We will be judged by our works. But immediately after the Second Coming, the judgment that takes place is a public judgment of the nations.

The Rapture of the Church

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The Second Coming

Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

False Peace, War, Death & Famine follow the Rapture & 1,000 years of true world peace follows the Second Coming.

Four Horseman

Immediately after the Rapture there will be an unbelievable suffering known as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) & Immediately following the battle of Armageddon, 1,000 years of unbelievable peace on earth will be led by Jesus Christ & we will rule and rein with him. In Matthew 24 when the Apostles ask Jesus what will be the sign of His coming, they were still looking for a kingdom here on earth and were not given the doctrine of the rapture of the church until thirty years later.

The Rapture of the Church

Revelation 6:1-8 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.
8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

The Second Coming

Isaiah 11:6-10 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Matthew 24:3, 6-10 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The doctrine of the Rapture of the Church was not revealed until the Lord revealed it to Paul.

In Corinthians 15 Paul first reveals the Rapture of the Church as a mystery God revealed to him alone. Paul is the Apostle that is to teach the Church. The Book of Matthew was written for the Jews around 35 AD and the Book of Corinthians was written for the Church around 66 AD. This shows that Matthew 24 cannot be for the Church since they did not know of the Rapture at that time. The Church was not even formed at the time of the book of Matthew.

The Rapture of the Church

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

At the Pretribulation Rapture, believers are given a glorified body, at the Second Coming they remain in earthly bodies as they enter the Millennial Kingdom.

At the Rapture, The Church (Body of Christ) undergoes a glorious transformation and receives a new body the same as Jesus did at his Resurrection. At the time of the Second Coming, as Jesus sets on the Throne in Jerusalem, the people who miraculously made it through Great Tribulation will still be in there earthly bodies and are able to die. Christians that receive their glorified bodies, can never die.

The Rapture of the Church

Philippians 3:20-21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

The Second Coming

Isaiah 65:17-21 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

If you are not saved and a born again Christian, I ask you to consider the consequences as well as the rewards of salvation in Jesus Christ an invite you to the most important and lift changing decision you will ever make.

Did Jesus Go To Hell? https://survivethewrath.com/did-jesus-go-to-hell/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=did-jesus-go-to-hell Sat, 07 Mar 2020 02:59:01 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=264 Apparently there is a lot of confusion and Bible misinterpretation when it comes to the question of where Jesus went between his death and resurrection. The concept that Jesus Christ went to hell after his death on the Cross of Calvary, comes primarily from the new age teachers and preachers that have misinterpreted the Bible and spew large amounts of false Bible doctrine into the troughs of the world.

There are few Scriptures that describe Jesus as going to Abraham’s Bosom and many preachers and Bible versions interpret this as hell. Jesus went where hell was, but it is not the same as we know hell today.

The Rich Man & Lazarus

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

As you can see, Lazarus was carried by the angles to Abraham’s Bosom & the rich man was woke up in torment seeing Abraham afar off and Lazarus was not in torment. So how can this be considered hell? This is in the depth of the earth and are two different places. Abraham’s Bosom and Hell! Some may call it the realm of the dead.

Jesus told the thief he would be in paradise with him.

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Some refer to the Hebrew scripture and define the realm of the dead as Hades or Sheol. I believe that the 1611 King James Bible is the preserved word of God and only refer to the Hebrew for definitions.

Open Bible

Getting into many interpretations and other Bible versions have lead some astray and now there are teachings on purgatory and reincarnation.

In Revelation 20:11-15 the dead are risen up and judged by God and sent to the final destination. This is the distinction between A lake of fire and The lake of fire. Not between Hades and hell as some teach.

The separation between hell and Abraham’s Bosom

Sheol/Hades was a realm with two divisions—a place of blessing and a place of judgment (Matthew 11:23Matthew 16:18Luke 10:15Luke 16:23Acts 2:27–31). The abodes of the saved and the lost are both generally called “hades” in the Bible. The abode of the saved is also called “Abraham’s bosom” in Luke 16:22 and “paradise” in Luke 23:43. The abode of the unsaved is called “hell” (KJV) in Luke 16:23. The abodes of the saved and the lost are separated by a “great gulf” (Luke 16:26). When Jesus died, He went to paradise and, from there, took the believers with Him to heaven (Ephesians 4:8–10). The holding side of hell has remained unchanged. All unbelieving dead go there awaiting their final judgment in the future. Did Jesus go to hell? According to  Ephesians 4:8–10 and 1 Peter 3:18–20, Jesus descended to the center of the earth, but not to hell. He descended to Abraham’s Bosom to retrieve the saved souls that were there awaiting the ascension.

No one could ascend to heaven before Jesus.

Jesus said to the thief beside Him, “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43); He did not say, “I will see you in hell.” Jesus’ body was in the tomb; His soul/spirit went to be with the blessed in paradise. Unfortunately, in many versions of the Bible, translators are not consistent. Many translation want to lighten up the use of hell and call it a less scary version such as sheol or hades.

Hell

Some have the viewpoint that Jesus went to “hell” or the suffering side of sheol/hades in order to further be punished for our sins. This idea is completely unbiblical. It was the death of Jesus on the cross that sufficiently provided for our redemption. It was His shed blood that effected our own cleansing from sin (1 John 1:7–9). As He hung there on the cross, He took the sin burden of the whole human race upon Himself. He became sin for us: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21). This imputation of sin helps us understand Christ’s struggle in the garden of Gethsemane with the cup of sin which would be poured out upon Him on the cross.

Jesus on the Cross

As Jesus neared death, He said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). His suffering in our place was completed. His soul/spirit went to Paradise (the center of the earth). Jesus did not go to “hell” or the suffering side of hades; He went to “Abraham’s Bosom”. Jesus’ suffering ended the moment He died. The payment for sin was paid. He then awaited the resurrection of His body and His return to glory in His ascension. Did Jesus go to hell? No. Did Jesus go to Paradise which was separated by a great gulf from hell? Yes.

The Seven Days Of Creation https://survivethewrath.com/creation/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=creation Sat, 07 Mar 2020 01:59:40 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=550 We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God’s own image and after His own likeness; that man’s creation was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species, or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms; that all animal and vegetable life was made directly, and Gods established law was that they should bring forth only ‘after their kind.”

The Bible is literal unless it states otherwise. Mentioned in parables allegorically or figuratively.

Day One – Day & Night

day and night

Genesis 1:3-5

Do not confuse a day on earth and a day with the Lord.

The days in Genesis are 24 hour periods, not 1000 years. Some teach that the days in Genesis are 1000 years as referenced in 2 Peter and this is simply wrong.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2 Peter 3:8 cannot be applied to Genesis’ 7 days of creation simply because of the mention of day and night.

When we are finally with the Lord in Heaven, a thousand years will seem as only one day. Time does not effect the third Heaven like it does the Heaven here on earth.

God’s plan of seven thousand years will only be as seven days to God.

Two thousand years before the flood.
Two thousand years of the Age of Law
Two thousand years of the Age of Grace
One thousand years of Peace on Earth
Seven Thousand Years

God is not in a hurry and is longsuffering and wants none to perish.

Genesis 1:1 God created the Heaven and the earth.

Notice it does not say when the beginning was. Only that, In the beginning.

Day Two – Sky & Sea

beach

Genesis 1:6-8

If you research the atmosphere, you will find it is made up of mostly water vapor. The atmosphere is constantly trying to get into balance and this is what causes the weather patterns here on earth. Water evaporates and then condensates and adheres to dirt and salt in the air and becomes a cloud. When the cloud particles become too saturated, the water will fall as rain.

Day Three – Grass & Vegetation

grass and trees

Genesis 1:9-13

God separates the land from the water and said let the earth bring forth the grass and the trees. The seed was already there, created in eternity past with the earth. God just give the command to bring it all forth.

Day Four – Stars, Sun and Moon

Genesis 1:14-19

God sets the stars, moon and the sun. These are the constellations that we can use to set a clock. These are the objects used by the Jews for their signs, times and seasons. The Jewish holidays are set by these.

Day Five – Sea Life & Birds

Sea life & birds

Genesis 1:20-23

Notice in verse 22 that God blessed the creatures and said to them to fill the waters. This is a new creation.

Day Six – Man & Animal

Genesis 1:24-31

In verse 28 God said unto them replenish the earth. This is an indication that the earth was filled one before. Notice that God did not say to the animals to replenish, but to fill the waters indication there was no life in the waters before.

Day Seven – God Rested

Genesis 2:1-3

The Heaven mentioned is Genesis 1:1 is referring to the atmosphere associated with the earth. This is the first created act.

There are three Heavens

  1. Earths atmosphere
  2. Outer Space
  3. God’s Heaven

In eternity past, God created many things. At the point of the creation of the earth as we know it, God created some more things and made some things out of what was already created.

Created VS. Made

Made Making something out of existing material

Create – Making something from nothing

Three Creative Acts In Genesis

First Act Of Creation

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God created the Heaven and the earth. The first act of creation.
There is no date on this time of the past, the earth may have been created during the creation of the universe.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Notice in Genesis 1:2, the water is already there. Also in verse 2 The darkness from the first judgement.

In eternity past, God casts Satan out of Heaven and to the earth. The earth was judged by a flood and that is where the water came from.

Earth has been flooded twice and God gave the bow as a promise to never flood the earth again.

Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
The earth was flooded once before Noah’s flood and notice there was land sticking out of the water.
During Noah’s flood, the earth was completely under water.
Genesis 7:19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

Second Act Of Creation

God created the animal life.

Genesis 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

Third Act Of Creation

God created man.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

He created it not in vein. He established it to be inhabited

Results Of Prior Judgement

The darkness over the face of the deep and the water that is the deep is possibly from a prior judgement of this earth in eternity’s past.

Something To Consider

When Satan lead the rebellion against God, one third of the angels followed him. Theses are fallen angels. They inhabited the earth in eternity’s past and built the ancient ruins we know here today on earth. Finally the earth was judged with a prior flood and the earth was refurbished. The garden was created and the first man and woman were placed in the garden. The serpent once having his throne on the earth is now mad that someone else has been placed in his spot so he subtly approaches the woman and temps her with the knowledge of the tree and causes the fall of man. This sure does make for an interesting read and it does start to make sense as you continue to ponder it.

Now make no mistake, This earth is cursed and used for judgement until the final judgement comes and this earth will be destroyed and a new heaven and a new earth will be created for us to tabernacle with God for eternity.

25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

Jeremiah 10:10-14 But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
14 Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

Nehemiah 9:6 Thou, even thou, art Lord alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

What separates Christianity from any “religion” in the world is its claim to an absolute written authority from God. Having the Word of God is essential to a Christian’s growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. The standards by which we as Christians are to govern the details of our lives are found in the pages of the Word of God.

Basics Of The Bible And How It Relates To Everyday Life

Biblical principles are to guide every aspect of your personal walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Very Words Of God Are Inspired

2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Bible states that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God. The Bible was written by over forty men and every word was inspired. The bible was written over a time period of more than two thousand years. There is no man alone without the inspiration of God that could write such a masterpiece or there would be many books like the bible today.

Mind Word

The Words Of God Are Pure

Proverbs 30:5-6 Psalms 12:6

Put your trust in God an He shall be your shield. The word of God is pure and sharp as a two-edged sword and will pierce to your heart and change your life.

Jesus came to fulfil the law and the prophecies, not to destroy them. The word of God will be fulfilled to every I dotted and every T crossed and His word will never pass away.

The words of the Lord are so pure that every judgment will be a righteous judgment and it will be a speedy trial. The word will be preserved and will endure forever.

Revelation 20:12

The Very Words Of God Are Preserved

Psalms 12:6-7 Psalms 119:160 Matthew 5:17-18 Matthew 24:35

Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

God said He would preserve His word and that didn’t mean He would spread it around the world in hidden books. To doubt a complete and perfect word of God is to doubt God himself.

I believe the Holy Bible is the perfect word of God inspired by the Holy Spirit. As we study God’s word, there is more and more evidence that there is only one bible that stands the test of time as being the complete, preserved word of God. That is the 1611 King James Bible. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, they only strengthened the fact that the KJV is the preserved word.

The Very Words Of God Are Not To Be Changed

The bible says do not add or take away from his word or you will be found a liar and they will answer for it one day. All of your modern bibles change the word of God to one extreme or another. There are many so called Christians that will fight you on this until the end and defend their bible version. When the debate is usually finished with them , they believe there is no perfect bible and that is just a lie.

God’s word is not to be changed and it has been preserved and always will be.

Proverbs 30:5-6
Revelation 22:18-19
Deuteronomy 4:2
1 Timothy 6:3-4

The very words of God are more sure than the audible voice of God. This is a very critical point. It must be understood that “all experiences” are to be judged by an infallible standard which is greater than any experience. Peter said the Word of God was MORE SURE than the physical appearance and audible voice of God.

2 Peter 1:16-21
Compared To:
Matthew 17:1-9

Because of this fact, which translation of the Bible you use is critically important. While many modern translations and paraphrases attempt to make the Bible more readable, they sacrifice the integrity of the very Words of God.

Because of this, I uphold the Authorized King James Version to be the preserved Word of God without error, and the only one to be used in all aspects of this site and our YouTube channel.

Note the superiority of the doctrine of the King James Bible as compared to other versions.

Satan was commanded by Christ

Luke 4:8 (K.J.V.) “And Jesus Answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
(N.I.V.) “Jesus answered, “It is written: Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.”

Literal Fire

Mark 9:44, 46 (K.J.V.) “Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not
quenched.”
(N.I.V.) Is not found, completely removed.

The Blood of Christ

Colossians 1:14 (K.J.V.) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
(N.I.V.) “In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

Fall of Lucifer

Isaiah 14:12 (K.J.V.) “How art thou fallen from Heaven, 0 Lucifer, son of the morning!”
(N.I.V.) “How art thou fallen from Heaven, 0 morning star, son of the dawn!” According to Revelation 22:16, Jesus Christ is the morning star.

The Word Of God Is Active In Salvation

I Peter 1:23 says we are born again “by the Word of God.” The Word of God is the agent which brings about the new birth.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace are ye saved through faith,…”

Romans 10:17 says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

Speaking to the brethren,
James 1:21 says the Word of God is “…able to save your souls.”

Paul’s summary of the gospel contains three parts, all ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES.

I Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Jesus Christ died for our sins.
Jesus Christ was buried.
Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

You must believe what the Bible says about sin, your condition, and God’s plan of salvation in order to be saved.

The Word Of God Is Spiritually Discerned

The Bible is learned by comparing Scripture with Scripture, relying on God’s Spirit to teach you and not your own natural intellect.

Also do not rely on any mans’s intellect. If you listen to anyone teach or preach the bible, you should go to the scriptures and verify it for yourself. Get away from anyone that is not sticking directly to the word of God.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

The Holy Spirit of God will guide you into all truth. He often uses other instruments to aid in teaching such as books, tapes, and preachers. Remember, truth is always revealed by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, any believer indwelt by the Holy Spirit can learn the Bible.

The Word of God Has A Unique History

A. The Bible has a total of 66 books, 39 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.

B. The Bible was written through more than 40 men.

C. The Bible fits together perfectly as if written by one man because the author of all 66 books is the Holy Spirit.

D. The Bible was written over a time span of about 2,000 years.

E. The Bible is totally accurate in matters of history, of prophecy and of every issue of life. There are no contradictions in the Bible.

The Word of God has had a profound impact on human history

The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of the believers. It’s doctrines are holy, it’s precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.

Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the travelers map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword, and the Christian’s character.

Here paradise is restored, heaven opened, and the gates of hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart, and guide the feet.

Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given to you in life, will be open at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and condemns all who trifle with its holy contents.” — Anonymous

“It is impossible to rightly govern the world without the Bible.”
— George Washington

I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given man.” — Abraham Lincoln

The Word of God is your absolute, infallible guide

Every major purchase (car, appliance, etc.) is accompanied by an owner’s manual which tells you how to operate it. If you don’t go by the book it won’t work.

The Bible is God’s “owner’s manual” for your life. God would not save you and call you to serve Him without clear and exact directions. You must go “by the book.”

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The Word Of God Accomplishes Many Purposes In The Life Of A Christian

The Word of God equips you for service, “That the man of God may be perfect (mature), thoroughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The Word Of God Sustains You. It Is Often Associated With Different Foods.

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

It is a complete and balanced diet. The Word of God is likened and compared to many types of food.

bread

Milk

I Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Honey

Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalm 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

Bread

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Water

Isaiah 55:10-11 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Ephesians 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

Meat

Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

I Corinthians 3:1-2 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

The Word Of God Keeps You Clean To Please Him

Psalm 119:9-11 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Basic Questions

Where do I start reading?

As a young Christian, focus on the primary places which deal with your new relationship with your Heavenly Father. The Gospel of John, the Epistle of 1 John, and Psalm 119 are excellent places to begin.
The Gospel of John is written that you might believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The Epistle of 1 John is written that you might have complete assurance of salvation.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Psalm 119 is written to establish your love for the Word of God.

What if I find something I don’t understand?

You will find many things you do not understand. Don’t get frustrated. Wait for God to reveal it in His time.

John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

The most important thing is to live what you do understand. God will not give you more than you are capable of handling. As you put into practice the things you are learning, God will entrust you with more.

Don’t think you have to understand everything you read. Simply focus your attention on making sure you are reading the Bible and the Holy Spirit will reveal that which he wants you to know.

How We Know God Exists https://survivethewrath.com/know-god-exists/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=know-god-exists Wed, 26 Feb 2020 03:59:12 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=469 There are verses all through the bible that show us the presence of God and when we compare scripture with scripture, we get closer and closer to God and the bible becomes a living book that we can’t put down and can study for the rest of our lives.

Romans 1:20 – For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Everyone can simply look around at creation and see that there is a creator and it is their choice to accept it or not. When we all stand in front of God, we will answer to him and the non believers will have no excuse for their denial.

1 Corinthians 8:6 – But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

God is a jealous God and there are many times in the bible where people turn from the one true God and go to worship idols. When this happen, it is shortly after that they fall as a people or are defeated in war. All things are of God and all things are by God.

1 John 4:8 – He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

The reason we all have the choice to believe is because God is love and to love in a choice. If we were all forced to love, it could never be true love. If you know love, you know God, If you deny and do not know love, you cannot know God. Why do people deny love?

Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith if the foundation we rest upon today since we are living in the age of Grace. We believe he is and that he will reward us that seek him. There is a crown of Righteousness given to those that long and seek his return.
2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Romans 1:18-20 – For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

God reveals himself to the non believers because it is put in them when they are created. They are without excuse, for in each of their own way, God has shown himself to everyone.

John 1:1-2 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.

The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Luke 24:13-15 Jesus walked with two going to Emmaus and verses 25-27 Jesus begins to talk about the scriptures. This is the Word Speaking the Word.

Revelation 4:11 – Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

There was only one that walked the earth that is worthy and that is God that walked in the flesh himself and created all things.

Jeremiah 29:13 – And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Love comes from the heart and if you seek God which is love, you will find him.

John 3:8 – The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Romans 1:21 – Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

We should give God all the glory.

John 1:18 – No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Colossians 1:15 – Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Psalms 90:2 – Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

John 3:16-17 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God sends his only Son to be sacrificed for wretched people like you and me. The final sacrifice that took place on that cross at Calvary and when the veil was torn from top to bottom gives us access to the Father in heaven and we should be thanking God everyday for that.

John 20:29 – Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Many that were there with Jesus had trouble believing and many did not believe, The blessings that we will receive because we believe without seeing are going to be amazing because everything from God is amazing. Just look around.

James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Everything is from above and there is no variance. God is the same today, tomorrow, and forever.

Psalms 19:1 – (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Want to see if there is a God? Just go outside and look up.

Job 38:4 – Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

We should humble ourselves! The creation is perfect and amazing just to think about it with our tiny minds. We have no right to think we can even exalt our selves high enough to say there is no God.

Romans 1:25 – Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

The father of all liars deceives many and they follow him blindly as they fall deep into the darkness and land flat on their backs in the fire.

Baptism (Should I Get Baptized)? https://survivethewrath.com/baptism/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=baptism Thu, 20 Feb 2020 02:24:18 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=235 Now That I Am Saved, Where Do I Start?

Virtually every religious denomination in existence teaches some form of baptism as part of their doctrine, and the diversities in their teachings are wide. The purpose of this article is intended to give the Bible’s clear and definite teaching on the subject so the individual understands perfectly what God’s intention is regarding baptism.

You will not truly grow in your spiritual life until you are baptized.

God commands us to be baptized.

Baptism is often viewed as the first act of obedience to the Lord. The reason for this, is because there are several instances in the Bible showing baptism taking place almost immediately after salvation before any other obedience is seen.

open bible

Matthew 3:13-17 Jesus set the example Himself by submitting to baptism before He began His public ministry. He was first baptized then ministered. There are no recorded miracles performed by Jesus until after he was baptized. The Hollywood movies get it wrong.

In Matthew 3:13-15, it is clear that Jesus was baptized in obedience to God’s plan. In verse 15, He said, “Suffer (allow) it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness.” -Submission and obedience as shown by Jesus is the single most important issues regarding baptism.

reading the bible

The following bible verses show characters that submitted to baptism.

Acts 8:36-39 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.
39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

Acts 9:17-18 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

bible acts

Acts 16:25-33 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Baptism

What is the purpose of baptism?

The important point to consider is the picture that is portrayed by baptism.

Romans 6:1-7, specifically verses 3-4, show the two purposes of baptism.

1. It pictures the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

Standing in the water pictures the death of Christ.

Going under the water pictures the burial of Christ.

Coming out of the water pictures the of Christ.

2. It is a public testimony of the new convert’s identification with Jesus Christ through the death, burial and resurrection, which is how he was saved.

Baptism is the wedding band of salvation. Just as a wedding ring shows people one is married by getting baptized you are showing people that you are saved and not ashamed to be identified as such.

kneeling at the cross

Every believer should be baptized.

A. The clearest case of an individual’s baptism in the Bible is the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8:26-39. In verse
36, the Eunuch asked, “…what doth hinder me to be baptized?” Philip then answered with the requirement for baptism in verse
37, “…If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.” Then the Eunuch’s response sealed the matter, “…I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

B. There are NO cases of baptism in the Bible of anyone but believers.

C. Some other instances of baptism immediately after salvation include:

1. Acts 8:12-13 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

2. Acts 18:8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

There is only one Biblical method of baptism

A. The word baptize literally means to dip, plunge or immerse, thus the Biblical method of Baptism is by immersion.

B. Acts 8:26-39 gives the clearest example. In verses 38-39, Both Philip and the Eunuch went down into the water and came up out of the water.

C. Matthew 3:16 we find that Jesus was baptized in the same manner.

D. As seen previously; baptism is a picture of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The only way to bury someone is to put them completely underground. The Biblical method of baptism is complete immersion. No one in the Bible was ever sprinkled.

Baptism is essential for your spiritual growth

  • It is NOT essential for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 makes it clear a man is saved by grace through faith without works, including baptism.
  • It IS essential for service and spiritual growth.

Matthew 28:18-20 (the great commission) proves it is essential. Baptism is an integral part of the great commission as it is part of the process of making disciples. Thus one cannot fulfill the process of being a disciple without being scripturally baptized.

Key Thoughts

If one wants to become a follower of Jesus Christ, they must be willing to submit to Baptism.

A study of the Scriptures reveals that one should get baptized as soon as possible after accepting Christ as their Savior.

Basic questions

When should a person be baptized?

Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Acts 8:35-38 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Acts 16:31-33 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

One should get baptized as soon as possible after they are saved
Once again it is for this reason that it is often viewed as the first step of obedience.

Where should I be baptized?

Every local church will tell you that you must get baptized at their local church since that is how you become a member of that church. I don’t see in the bible where it must be at a local church. The eunuch is Acts 2:38 was not at a local church filled with people. I believe you can be baptized wherever there is water, but it must at least be done by someone that is saved.

Some churches have to baptize in rivers or creeks (Jesus Himself was baptized in the Jordan River).

church

This is who Jesus gave the great commission to. These verses don’t mention the local church, the great commission is given to all that are saved.

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God Doesn’t Want You To Burn In Hell https://survivethewrath.com/hell-is-real/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=hell-is-real Wed, 19 Feb 2020 00:47:51 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=271 God shed every drop of his blood so you won’t burn in Hell.

Luke 12:4-5 Warns us not to fear people that can kill you, but to fear the one that has power to cast your soul into hell.

Crucifixion

Matthew 7:13-14 tells us that the way to heaven is straight and narrow and the way to hell is wide and broad. Have you ever heard anyone say stay on the straight and narrow? This is where it comes from. To enter heaven all you have to do is accept Jesus and you saviour and believe that God rose him the third day. Seems pretty straight forward right? Why doesn’t everyone accept that? The answer is the devil has spent countless hours trying to convince people there is no hell and the churches today are not preaching on hell.

The churches today can’t even determine a denomination for themselves and they say that the Bible doesn’t determine a denomination. How can you stand on any beliefs if you don’t first have a foundation of beliefs?

The bible says if you build your house on sand, the rains shall come and the house will fall. Matthew 7:26-27

Many people now believe that if you are a good person, you will not be judged to Hell and torment. Some believe what their pastor is telling them and will follow him to the very end and there will be no changing their mind. Most of your YouTube preachers that have just setup a couple ferns in their basement are teaching the false doctrines, such as speaking in tongues, Commandment keeping for salvation, enduring to the end for salvation, trusting in signs and wonders, water baptism for salvation, and salvation by works.

No matter where you get your doctrine, be sure to get in your bible and follow along with your pastor. Verify what he is saying is the truth and consistent with the bible.

I pray that all will come to the Lord Jesus Christ as a broken sinner with no means of justification outside of the blood that Christ shed on Calvary’s cross for them; but this just won’t be the case for everyone.

Moses and Joshua had similar views about the nation of Israel regarding their eventual refusal to heed God’s word:

Deuteronomy 31:16-17 says the people will go after other gods and worship them and God’s anger will go against them and they will be devoured with evil and troubles. Then they will say these trouble have come because god is not with us.

For many it will be too late. After death, there is no second chance. In the book of Luke, the rich man couldn’t go back to warn his brothers and Abraham told him that his brothers have Moses and the prophets. Now is your time to listen to those that preach sound doctrine. After death, it will be too late for you.

Joshua 24:15-21 Joshua tells the people to choose this day who they will serve, the gods which their fathers served or the Lord. He reminded them that if you turn from the Lord God that He is a jealous God and there would be a price to pay. They then chose to become witnesses for God.

You should thank God everyday if you are saved for sending his Son to die on the cross for your sins and that you have a testimony and can witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. You should be telling everyone around you about the salvation of Jesus Christ to keep them from burning n a hell for ever and ever.

Jesus Crucifixion

Here Are Some Facts About Hell You Should Know

You Don’t Have To Go To Hell

Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Jesus said Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. What kind of fool would say there is no God and choose to burn in hell? Look around you at the creation and that is enough proof that there is a God. Romans 1:20. There is no excuse to see that there is a God.

God doesn’t want you to burn in Hell, that’s why He shed every drop of blood he had. The Devil wants you to burn in Hell! He cannot force you to go, but he is a master of deception and will try and convince you there is no God. That belief will cause you to burn in Hell.

Everyone In Hell Will Hate You

In hell there will be only torment and burning forever. You will be in the lake of fire and it will be overfull. Everyone in there will be fighting and clawing to get somewhere they can find just a little relief and they won’t find any. Everyone will hate each other.

After you have had several opportunities here on earth to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, and have made the final decision to reject Him, You will be in Hell with the Devil and his angels for eternity.

God created the Devil and he rebelled against God, He was cast to the earth and then one day God decided He was going to put a couple humans in the garden where Satan dwelt. Satan hates you more than you will ever know and if you decide to reject Jesus and end up in Hell for eternity, the Devil will be tormenting you and it will be his pleasure. There are no friends in Hell. You will not fit in! There will be no one to pull you out.

Hand From Hell Fire

You Will Burn In Hell A Minimum Of 1000 Years Before God Judges You

Revelation 20:11-15

When Jesus Christ finally steps foot on the Mount of Olives and binds the Devil and casts him into Hell, There will be a 1000 year reign on earth with Jesus reigning and ruling. This means you will be burning in Hell for at least this time until the 1000 years is up and God destroys the earth and defeats the Devil one final time. Then the White Throne Judgement begins, everyone who has ever lived will be judged. The short time we have here on earth is nothing compared to 1000 years in Hell. The judgment will determine the level of hell that you will be in for eternity, it will not determine if God has changed His mind. Repent & be saved before it is too late, you are not guaranteed tomorrow.

HELL IS CURRENTLY LOCATED RIGHT BELOW YOUR FEET; IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH

Matthew 12:40

If you read the Bible, you have read Hell being referred to as the “bottomless pit”, “a lake of fire” or “The lake of fire”
The bottomless pit is the center of the earth. It is like a cement truck going down the road, the tank turns and the cement never settles on a bottom. This is how the earth is the fire and brimstone have no bottom.

Hebrews 12:1 talks about sin being a weight. Gravity will still exist when you die and your sin will pull you to Hell. For the wages of sin is death. The soul bears the weight of your sin and and the gravity will pull that weight to Hell. I don’t read in the bible where the demons come up and drag you to Hell.

Live in the spirit, not in the flesh.

Romans 8:9-11

Once you have the spirit of God within you, there is a conviction about the old thing you used to do and you start to turn away from those sin you live in. When this transformation takes place, you will have a hard time communicating with old friends and you will lose most of them. They start to see a different person in you and they think you went all religious and it becomes uncomfortable for them to continue to be ornery in front of you.

There Is No Such Thing As Nothingness

Don’t believe the false religions or the false science teachers. Believe the Bible. Hell fire and Torment are both very real. Some of the religious cults preach that when we die, we go to sleep and the saved will wake up at the resurrection and the unsaved will never wake up as if there is no Hell. This is a false cult teaching. Other religions teach that when you die, you go to a place called purgatory and there you will suffer for your sins long enough for them to be paid for and then you can enter heaven. The fact is that Jesus Christ was the last Lamb sacrificed and spilled every drop of blood for ALL the sins of the world and if you accept that as payment for your sins, you will enter heaven.

Mark 9:43-44

Cutting off your sin does not mean your hand! If something makes you sin, get rid of it! that is what this verse is saying. Just do not end up withered down to a worm and in the fire where the torment cannot be quenched.

Luke 16:22-24

A rich man and a beggar had died and one went to Paradise and the other to hell. This is the story where everyone focuses on the rich man and say the rich will go to hell. Though the bible state that it is easier for a rich man to go to hell, that does not mean if you or someone you know that is rich are going to hell.

This took place in the center of the earth and was before Jesus died and went to paradise to get the saints. Once the saints were taken to heaven with Jesus, this place became a larger place of fire and is now known as the bottomless pit. Some say that hell is getting bigger and bigger ans it gets more and more residents. It kind of goes with the more and more frequent volcanic eruptions that take place s time goes by. The fire ad brimstone has to go somewhere.

Hell

What I get from these verses is that once you are in hell or in heaven, you cannot pass from one to the other and no one can return to warn others of hell. The people then were given Moses and the prophets to warn them of hell as we today are given the words of those prophets in the bible. We are given the saved and their main duty is to spread the gospel and let people know about Jesus Christ as much as they should warn them of hell. After this, there are no second chances.

Revelation 14:9-12

These verses remind us of the mark of the beast and living in the technology age we do today, there is a chance the Rapture takes place and many will end up in terrible times and feel they have no choice but to take that mark to survive. The grim reminder is that they will end up in torment forever and ever

Ezekiel 20:45-49

Ezekiel prophesied of a flaming flame that shall never be quenched.

In Hell you will burn and you will burn forever!

There Is A Greater Damnation In Hell For False Preachers

Matthew 23:13-14

This isn’t only talking about the preachers on the pulpit that teach false doctrine, this is speaking of all of them that go out and preach the false gospels. The one that preach there is more than one way to heaven, the ones that teach if you do good, God would not cast you to hell. This is for the YouTube phonies and the Facebook know-it-all that claim you must work additionally to what Jesus did to be saved because believing and having faith just isn’t enough. There is a deeper hell!

Pharasee

There may be other levels of hell reserved for the murderers, pedophiles, sadists or homosexuals, but the bible states that God specifically reserves the greater damnation to the unsaved false teachers and preachers. What could be greater a than damnation then just burning in Hell?

Can you see why the bible doctrine you teach is important? Can you see why it is important to study the bible and get the Pre-Trib Time of Jacob’s Trouble doctrine correct? It’s a big deal because the Post-trib doctrine teaches that the sinner must “endure to the end” to be saved. This consists of not worshipping the beast or his image, nor getting his name, number, or mark in your forehead or hand.

If a sinner trusts in the “plan of salvation” for today, he’ll bust Hell wide open when he dies. If he teaches or preaches that as the plan of salvation to others, he shall receive the Greater Damnation in Hell. The same goes with other false doctrines such as baptismal regeneration, sacraments, commandment keeping for salvation, etc. When it comes to false doctrine, God has ZERO tolerance:

Matthew 15:7-9

We see and hear it everyday, people claiming to praise and worship God as out loud and their heart is nowhere near God. The giveaway is the false doctrine that they preach and the commandments that they think we should be following instead of what Jesus did to save us being enough.

Matthew 16:6-12

Jesus warns the Apostles of the Pharisees and the Sadducees and not to be corrupted of their ways and false doctrines.

John 7:16-17 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Romans 16:17,18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

In the end, it all comes down to this. In our dispensation of the Church Age, God has ordained the word to go out by good, old-fashioned, Bible preaching. It’s about JESUS CHRIST, and Him lifted up to draw all men unto Him.

2 Timothy 4:2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

What Is The Rapture Of The Church? You Don’t Want To Miss This! https://survivethewrath.com/rapture-of-the-church/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rapture-of-the-church Thu, 13 Feb 2020 00:25:41 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=350 The Rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Suddenly! Millions of people just disappear. There are two moments in the bible when Jesus returns. The return of Christ and The day of the Lord. The return if Christ is the moment Jesus returns and meets the true believers in the clouds and and takes them to Heaven to be forever with the Lord. We become one with Christ (The Bride of Christ). This is when our eternity starts.

Described in 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, all Christians will be removed from the earth in the moment in the twinkling of an eye. “Rapture” comes from the words “caught up”.  In the Greek the word is “harpazo” means to “snatch up” seized violently”.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Meanwhile on earth, God’s wrath will be poured out onto the earth for seven years (seven year tribulation) and there will chaos and destruction. This is the time the devil is given all power and will rise as the leader of the world and deceive many. This seven year period will be the most horrible time ever to be seen on earth. Luke 21:25-26

The reference to the word Rapture is used fourteen times in the New Testament. Two-hundred and sixty chapters in the New Testament reference the second coming of Jesus Christ three-hundred and eighteen times.

The three most important events to take place in this world are the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the First (birth) and Second coming of Jesus Christ. Since the fall of man, there is only one thing that can save us from our sin and the fiery pits of hell, that is the salvation offered by the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Rapture is the second part of the first resurrection. There are three parts that will complete it and you want to be a part of it.

In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul speaks of a time he was caught up to the third Heaven and heard unspeakable words which it was unlawful to even speak. In the Book of Revelation, John was in the spirit and saw things that took place after the Rapture of the Church.

Bright Cross

The Rapture Is A Sign Free, Sudden, & Selective Event

Many have put out books, articles and YouTube videos of when the Rapture will occur based on signs and they have all been wrong. The signs are for the Jews. Yes there are probably a lot of things that will happen before the Rapture takes place, but when God is ready to take his elect home, there is nothing that can stop Him. As Paul wrote to the Thessalonians, he said there was no need to write unto them for they know perfectly well the Lord comes as a thief in the night. The Bible gives us the knowledge we need to see and be ready when the Rapture occurs.

Suddenly, in the moment, in the twinkling of an eye! How fast can you blink your eyes? That is not fast enough to represent how fast the Rapture happens. The speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. So if you were to be taken in the twinkling of an eye, that would be a violent snatching away as described above. Let’s just say that in a nanosecond the believers of Christ are gone. That in itself would cause mass chaos in the world.

Selectively, only the true believers in Christ are taken during the Rapture. In the book of John, Jesus said he would go and prepare a place for us and then would return to receive us unto him. He was speaking to the believers. John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 1 Corinthians 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. There are a few indications, that this refers to only believers. They are called Brethren, Identified as those that believe Jesus died and rose again in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 and verse 16 referred to them as the dead in Christ.

Throughout the Bible there are several moments where a selected few have just disappeared or had the experience of suddenly being in heaven. Enoch (Hebrews 11:5) Elijah (2 Kings 2:11) Paul, Jesus (Acts 1:10-11) Philip (Acts 8:39) The rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ is next and The two witnesses in the book of Revelation are two that are still future.

Sequence Of Events

The Return of Christ

God is a God of order. Everything that takes place in this world or the next does so in order. The return of Christ is the next greatest event to take place in the history of the world. The return of Christ is different from the Return of the Lord. In the book of Acts, there appeared two men in white (Angels) that asked the men of Galilee why they gaze up into Heaven. They told the men that Jesus would return in like manner that he had ascended. There should be no confusion between the rapture and the second coming. When Jesus returns the second time, He will physically put his feet on the Mount of Olives and split the mountain in two.

When Jesus returns to meet us in the clouds, there will be a shout with the voice of an Archangel and with the trumpet of God. The believers will hear this call and be abruptly taken while the unbelievers will just hear a loud thundering noise and they will not know what it is. At that moment there will be planes, trains, and automobiles crashing all around them. There will be utter chaos.

The Resurrection of the Dead

Throughout the Bible, there are several mentions of resurrections, but the Rapture being the main harvest of the resurrection will be a spectacular event. The dead in Christ shall rise first an those that are alive and remain will follow to meet Jesus in the clouds and be with the Lord forever. The dead are the one that have lived for Christ and have passed away on this earth. Their bodies remain asleep in the graves and will be pulled out at the time of the Rapture. After that the living believers will be taken. Make no mistake, this will happen so fast, there will be no distinction of the two. I like to think of it as the dead must rise first because they are beneath the ground and must rise first for everyone to be taken at the same time.

As the dead are sleeping in the ground, their bodies are asleep, not the soul. There is no such thing as soul sleep. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (if you are a believer). In the book of Luke, there is mention of the rich man that died and woke up in hell. There is no mention of him going to purgatory or sleeping until the return of the Lord. Once you die, you wake up in one of two places. Heaven or Hell!

The Redemption Of Our Body

In the book of Romans, Paul speaks to us as the ones which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, waiting for the adoption and the redemption of our body.

What will that be like? We will be given bodies as Christ when He resurrected. He was able to disappear and reappear and even eat. His physical features were recognizable although not immediately sometimes, but it seems Jesus was in control of that. Our new bodies will be indestructible, Incredible, and Infinite.

Paul finished his teaching to the Thessalonians with “comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).

Rapture Bible Study

Summary

  • A voice and a trumpet of God. The loudest noise you may ever hear.
  • Some will hear the call of Jesus to meet him in the clouds. Other will hear a loud thunder or noise.
  • The dead rise and are reunited with their spirits.
  • Raptured believers reunited with living believers.
  • All believers meet the Lord in the air.

The rapture for some will be the wonderful time when we our eternity starts and we will be with the lord forever.

The rapture for others will be the worst experience anyone could imagine taking place on this earth.

Salvation https://survivethewrath.com/salvation/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=salvation Wed, 12 Feb 2020 16:09:32 +0000 https://survivethewrath.com/?p=230 Ever since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, man has been tempted by the devil and this is still a better plan for mankind than if they would have never sinned in the first place.

If they would have never sinned and eaten from the tree of life, we would all live forever in human bodies. If they would have eaten from the tree of life after they sinned, we would have lived forever in sinful bodies kind of like we live now. But since they sinned and were banned from the garden, we must now accept the blood of Jesus as payment for our sins and so we will receive new bodies and live for eternity with our Father in heaven. That is a blessing we should all be yelling Glory Glory Hallelujah!

Your decision to Trust Christ as your personal saviour is the greatest decision you could ever make. However, many people after accepting Christ never realize the true significance of what took place.

How To Be Saved

Our sins have separated us from a righteous and holy God, but in His Mercy and love towards us He has made a way of escape for all those who seek it. I am talking to you, right here and right now. God has an AMAZING gift for you, it costs you nothing but it caused Him to shed every drop of blood He had so He could purchase it for you. What is it? It’s your salvation. Jesus Christ was crucified, died, was buried and rose again on the THIRD DAY according to the Scriptures. He did all that for YOU, to buy your pardon to SET YOU FREE. All you have to do is accept or reject that FREE GIFT.

You can know for sure you are going to Heaven when you die!

A – Admit You Are A Sinner
B – Believe That Jesus Christ Died For Your Sin & Rose From The Dead
C – Confess With Your Mouth That Jesus Christ Is The Son Of God

Salvation prayer

In the book of Acts the Eunuch seen water and asked what hinders him from being baptized and Philip said if thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. At this point, the Eunuch was saved and now could be baptized.

There are two spiritual families in the world.

The devil’s family

The book of John speaks of a group of people who belong to Satan’s family.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

All are sinners and have fallen short of the Glory of God. Through Adam we all have sinned and now need redemption from our Lord Jesus Christ. Upon birth we are ultimately all descendants of Adam and everyone will enter this family of your physical father.

Genesis 5:3 shows that the descendants of Adam are born in Adam’s image and likeness which is that of a fallen sinner.

You inherited your sin nature from your father Adam

The bible say by one man sin entered into the world. That man was Adam. People are quick to argue that it was the woman that sinned first and that the through her sin entered the world. I think we can take this a step further and say that God set up the man first and he was the head of the house. If Adam wouldn’t have sinned, he could have still procreated with Eve and there would still be life. However, it would have been a lot more complicated. Adam loved Eve so much, he wasn’t willing to risk losing her so he made the decision himself to commit that sin. Therefore, Adam finalized the sin and and at this point, sin is passed through earthly fathers. There was a reason Jesus was conceived through a virgin and not conceived by a man. The male would have passed the sin and Jesus would have just been a man and likely not sinless as he was.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

Romans 6:23 tells us there is a wage for sin.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This is not a physical death, for even those that go to Heaven die physically. Therefore, it must be a spiritual death, being separated from the presence of God forever.

Since Adam and Eve did not die right when they sinned, they were now spiritually dead and could not stay in the garden. The death the bible is speaking of is not death as you and I know it, this death is eternal death in the lake of fire called hell. They went straight from having and eternal life to having an eternal death. This is why we need Jesus to justify us from our sins and regain that eternal life. But we now have to make that choice.

Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

This is exactly what happened to Adam when he sinned in the garden

Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Adam did not immediately physically die after he ate from the tree. This was a spiritual death.

Genesis 3:6-7 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

The final result of Adam’s sin was man sent from the garden

Adam & Eve

This represents the spiritual death that Adam suffered. If they were allowed to stay in the garden and had eaten from the tree of life, they would have lived forever in their sinful bodies forever.

I Corinthians 15:22 tells us that “…in Adam all die…”
This is the spiritual death of Romans 6:23
From this point, all of mankind dies spiritually, the only way to regain spiritual eternal life is to accept Jesus’ blood as the payment for your sin.

God’s family

John 1:12-13 But as many as received him (that is your decision to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior), to them gave he power to become the sons of God (your entrance into God’s family), even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man (all three of these things are physical, so it is not a physical birth), but of God. (it is a spiritual birth)

To be spiritually born again, you must make the decision to accept Jesus Christ as you Lord and Saviour. This is the most important decision you will ever make.

You also enter God’s family by birth; but it is a spiritual birth by your Heavenly Father

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

This new birth puts you into God’s family exactly the same way your physical birth puts you into your father’s family. You are now a son of God by Birth.

A a result of your new birth, you have inherited God’s divine nature, and you now have eternal life.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
I John 5:12 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

All verses are present tense.
Please make the decision now to accept Jesus Christ and eternal life.

Being in God’s family separates you from the devil’s family

Your body is now the temple of the Holy Ghost. God the Holy Spirit lives inside you.

I Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

You no longer belong to yourself, but to the Lord. The things which you use to do to your body should make you feel convicted of the Holy Spirit and encourage you to repent from sin.

II Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

You are now a part of the Trinity. You are walking with God inside of you and you now walk in the light. Paul write in 2 Corinthians; how can we fellowship and walk with unbelievers? We are no longer like them. The saying goes “You can’t walk with God and hold hands with the devil”.

As Christians, we can now see the darkness in people, for the human heart is wicked. When you are truly saved, God will touch your heart and replace it with a softer one.

By living a different way, the unsaved will see us a different way and they should look at us and say “I want what they have”. We should be changed when we are saved and setting an example for the unbelievers to follow.

Your new life summarized

II Corinthians 5:17-18
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

*You have become a new creature
We are now reconciled to God by Jesus Christ. We are now given the ministry of reconciliation to bring more people to Christ as we are now ambassadors for Christ. Jesus knew no sin, but was made to be the sin sacrificed for us that we would be made righteous. That is the gift Jesus has given us and all we have to to do is believe and accept that gift for eternal life.

Your relationship with God

He is your Heavenly Father and you are his child

Now that you are saved; God no longer deals with you as a sinner, He deals with you as a son.

That relationship is pictured by the relationship between a father and a son.

A good father loves and cares for his son

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

A good father protects his son

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

A good father provide for his son

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

A good father guides and teaches his son

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 – “Spirit of Truth”
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 17:17 – “Thy Word is Truth
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

A good father helps his son

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

A good father disciplines is son

Hebrews 12:5-11 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

A good father feeds his son

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

A good father has a plan for his son

Romans 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

A good father encourages his son

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Final Thoughts

A good father will never do anything to purposely hurt his son. He will only do those things which will help him grow and mature into a young man he wants him to be. Your Heavenly Father operates in the same way, only His ways are perfect. Unlike earthly fathers who sometimes err, God never makes a mistake in his dealings with his sons.

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

You do not lose your physical nature at the time of your spiritual birth

A. That is obvious because you are still alive!

B. You now have two natures.

1. Old nature – Physical, sinful, in Adams image.
Genesis 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

2. New nature – Spiritual, perfect, in God’s image.

C. Both natures are present constantly. The one that will control you is the one that you feed the most.

Colossians 3:5-10 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

II Corinthians 4:14-18 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Basic Questions

Will I sin after I am saved? Yes

I John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Even after you are saved, Jesus Christ is still you intercessor to the Father. Jesus died for all of your sins past, present and future. There is no one or nothing that can take that away.

How does my sin affect my relationship with my father?

God does not kick you out of His family, but He will discipline you as a child.

What should I do when I sin?

Confess it and trust the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse you. Confess your sin to Jesus, not another sinner here on earth. The only intercessor to the Father is Jesus Christ and no man can fill in for Him.

I John 1:6-10 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Confess your sins to Jesus and repent from those sins. God’s mercy awaits.
